Get to know your 2018-2019 Homecoming court.

Q:  How do you feel about being on the court?

A: I felt excited and honored that all my teachers from my 4 years here nominated me.


Q: Who are you going to homecoming with?

A: A Cyfair Cheerleader named Maggie.

 

Q: How do your parents feel about you being on the court?

A: They think it’s a great experience because the queen and king represent the school and for me to be one of the choices. They’re very proud.

 

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year at homecoming?

A: It is kinda bittersweet because it’s my last year but I know it’s gonna be the best.

Q: How do you feel about being on the court?

A: Its really cool and a different experience for me, I’m not really sure yet.


Q: How did your parents react?

A: They thought it was really cool and some and something different for me.


Q: Who are you going to homecoming with?

A: Natalie.V president of Skydancer.


Q: How did your friends react when you told them?
A: They were very excited and proud of me for being nominated.

 

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year at homecoming?

A: I don’t really feel it right now, maybe I’ll get emotional later. Right now I’m just kinda going with it, I think it should be fun.

Q: When did you find out you were on the homecoming court?

A:I found out through friends saying that they voted for me, not knowing what it was for. And I

walked into English class and they said, ‘you’re on the ballet, you’re on the ballet.’ And I was like,’that’s really good news.

 

Q: Did you push to get nominated or did you have no idea?

A: I gave hints to my teachers, not gonna lie, but I wasn’t honestly that forceful towards it.

 

Q:How do your parents feel about you being on the court?

A: They’re very proud; very proud. They’re happy to walk me across the field on Friday night.

 

Q:How did your friends react when you told them?

A:They were just very supportive of it and saying that they were going to vote for me and I was obviously saying thank you. I was very thankful that I was nominated.

 

Q:How do you feel about this being your last year of homecoming?

A: I’m glad that I’m at least on court so I can end it with something big, so feel good about that.

Q:How would you celebrate if you win?

A: I would go straight to IHOP after the game. I’d take my family and my homecoming date.

 

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year of homecoming?

A: Honestly, I didn’t think it was going to be anything special this year, but since I’m on the court and I have all these wonderful friends to go see at homecoming, I feel really good about it.

 

Q: How did you feel about being on the court?

A: I feel ecstatic about it. I didn’t think I was going to get past the list; be nominated by my teachers. I love my peers who voted for me.

 

Q: How did your friends react when you told them?

A: I couldn’t wait to tell them because i was super happy about it and they said, ‘Sean I knew you could do it.’ And I said, ‘I didn’t know I could do it.’

 

Q: Did you push to get nominated or did you have no idea?

A: I had no idea. When I came to senior year I didn’t think I would be on the homecoming court.

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year of homecoming?

A: It’s kinda good and sad  because there’s not going to be another one, but you want to enjoy your last one

 

Q:How would you celebrate if you win?

A: I don’t know, I probably just dance on the stage or something.

 

Q: Did you push to get nominated or did you have no idea?

A: I had no idea. Like I didn’t know I was going to be right here.

 

Q: What are you wearing to homecoming?

A: I can’t tell you

Q: when did you find out you were on the homecoming court?

A: I found out during choir when they pulled both my friend Ariana and me out to the AP’s office when I knew I didn’t do anything wrong.

 

Q: What are you wearing to homecoming?

A: I am wearing this dress I found at the thrift store because I’m “balling on a budget”. I was originally supposed to go to California but then this happened and they didn’t give me a full refund on my plane ticket.


Q.How do your parents feel about you being on the court?

A: They are pretty proud but I’m their third (and last) child so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Plus my sister is having her chief pinning ceremony for the navy the same weekend so my thing wasn’t a priority. My parents are amazing though and have supported me through so much.


Q.How did your friends react when you told them?

A: They were so nice and congratulated me. I have the best friends ever and they are always there for me.

 

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year at homecoming?

A: I am so excited but after it’s all done I know I’ll be sad. Homecoming is my favorite time of the school year and this is my very last one. I’m so glad I got to be on the court and really fulfill my last homecoming experience!

Q: How do you feel about being on the court?
A: It feels pretty cool knowing that my teachers nominated me and that I have a large group of people that like me and support me. Really humbling actually.


Q: What are you wearing to homecoming?

A: An emerald green dress with reddish heels.


Who are you going to homecoming with?

A: Going with one of my best friends Mikayla.


Q:  Are you the first in your family to be on a homecoming court?

A: Yes because my brother didn’t and my family grew up in Jamaica and they didn’t have Homecoming.


Q:  How do you feel about this being your last year at homecoming?

A: It’s cool a little sad but I’m just making the best of it as I go:)

Q: when did you find out you were on the homecoming court?
A: I found out I was on the homecoming court Friday sept 8. I was given a pass to go to the AP office and I was nervous because I thought I was in trouble.

 

Q: Did you push to get nominated or did you have no idea?
A: I actually had no idea that I was nominated I didn’t see it until I got to English class.

 

Q:  How do your parents feel about you being on the court?
A:  My parents are excited for me because my sister Humi was on the hoco court as well when.

she was a senior in the 2016-2017 school year.

 

 Q: How did your friends react when you told them?

 A:  They were so supportive and helped my promote myself For homecoming court and       they told me that they would definitely vote for me.

 

Q: How do you feel about this being your last year at homecoming?

A: It’s kind of emotional for me because my little sister and I are going together and it’s the last time will have something fun like this together before I attend college so I wanna make sure we have the best time ever!

Q: I found out the day after the seniors voted for the top 5.


A: How do you feel about being on the court?

Q: I was surprised because I didn’t think that many people would vote for me or even knew who I was.


A: What are you wearing to homecoming?

Q: I’ll be wearing a gold sequence dress to homecoming.


A: Who are you going to homecoming with?

Q: I’ll be going to homecoming with Elyjah Freeman, my best friend.


A: Are you the first in your family to be on a homecoming court?

Q: My mom had a history of being on homecoming court in her high school years and things went wrong for her but she’s extremely proud and happy for me.
